为了发掘和收集牛车水往日的回忆，新加坡传统文化学会在国家图书馆新忆工程基金的资助下，主办了“光影纪实-牛车水旧事新说”活动。一组来自不同背景和年龄层的公众, 3个月内在牛车水穿街走巷拍摄照片,通过聆听讲座和参观会馆等活动,酝酿出各自的摄影小品。现在他们每个人所创作的牛车水故事,已经发在网络上发布了! 欢迎出席”光影记实—牛车水旧事新说”分享会，聆听林伟智、张楷玲与张兴根，分享他们如何通过摄影与文字，表达他们对牛车水的情怀与感想。他们的《摄影小品：牛车水旧事新说》正在草根最新的《三看牛车水》中展出。展览即日起到10月3日。

How can photography be used as a tool to explore our relationships to places, to engage a community, and to elicit conversation? In this session, we share our experiences of Picturing Chinatown, a reflective, collaborative project where participants used photography to explore their varied relationships with Chinatown. This talk will be of interest to community organisations, community arts practitioners, and those with an ongoing interest in Chinatown’s culture and heritage.
