Pro-Musica 2009 is a fund-raising concert for the Singapore Heritage Society. The talents featured include three young, outstanding opera singers from the prestigious Flanders Opera Studio in Ghent, Belgium: Sabine Conzen (soprano, Belgium), Ines Madeira (mezzo, Portugal), & Andrew Ashwin (baritone, UK). Also featured are two young sopranos
from Opera Plus: Jamie Ling & Chaing Yi Ling, accompanied on the piano by Hein Boterberg (Belgium).

They will perform operatic works by Purcell, Lawes, Rameau, Monteverdi, Faure, Handel, Gluck, Mozart, Delibes, Massanet & Offenbach. The concert will be preceded by a talk entitled ‘Architectural Acoustics, Music and the DBS Auditorium: A Look Back’ by Datuk Seri Lim Chong Keat and Mr Kok Siew Hoong, the original architects of DBS
Building and the DBS Auditorium. The Auditorium, which was designed by Architects Team 3 and completed
in 1975, was one of Singapore’s pioneering performance arts venues and has long been hailed for its outstanding acoustics.

6.00 pm: Talk by Datuk Seri Lim Chong Keat & Mr Kok Siew Hoong
7.15 pm: Reception for $100 & $50 ticket holders
8.30 pm: Pro-Musica concert
